Oslo Map Art

Oslo's grid spreads from Oslo Central Station south toward the Oslofjord, with Karl Johans gate as the main spine cutting through the downtown core. The Akerselva River runs diagonally across the city from northeast to southwest, carving a green corridor through residential neighborhoods and industrial areas before emptying into the fjord. Forested hills rise steeply on all sides, compressing the urban area into a narrow band between water and ridgeline.
